Privacy Policy

When you create an account, we collect the personal data you provide directly — your name, email, phone number, and date of birth, along with any profile photo, bio, and event interests you add. If you choose to enable location, we use it to recommend nearby events, and if you use premium features, your payment information is processed securely by our third-party payment provider (Stripe) rather than stored by us.

We also collect certain data automatically as you use the app, including your device token, operating system, and IP address, along with usage data such as your interactions, messages, and event activity. We use cookies and similar tracking technologies, together with analytics and crash-reporting tools, to understand how the platform is used and to improve its performance.

Finally, if you sign up using a social media login, we receive the basic profile data that service shares with us, and if a business lists an event on Findzzer, we collect the account information needed to manage that listing.

We use the data we collect to provide and continually improve the Findzzer platform, and to personalize the event recommendations and matches we show you. It also lets us enable secure transactions when you use premium features, helps us detect and prevent fraud, spam, and other abusive behavior, and allows us to comply with our legal obligations. More broadly, we analyze this data to understand usage trends and evaluate how well our services are working.

Under GDPR, we rely on the following legal bases, depending on the purpose:

• Contract — creating and maintaining your account, matching you to events, and processing payments for premium features, since this is necessary to provide the service you signed up for.
• Consent — using your precise location, sending marketing communications, and any advertising-identifier tracking (governed separately by Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt where applicable). You can withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
• Legitimate interest — personalizing recommendations, analyzing usage trends, and securing the platform against fraud and abuse, balanced against your right to object (see Section 7).
• Legal obligation — retaining certain records (e.g. payment records) to meet tax, accounting, or law-enforcement requirements.

We share data with the service providers who help us run Findzzer:

• Google (Firebase Analytics, Google Analytics 4, and Google AdMob) — app analytics and advertising, governed by Google’s Privacy Policy.
• Sentry — crash and error reporting, so we can diagnose and fix problems.
• AppsFlyer — mobile attribution analytics (i.e. understanding which channels bring users to the app).
• Stripe — payment processing for premium features.

We may also share information with law enforcement where required by law or to protect the safety of our users. If you register for an event, the organizer receives the limited information needed to manage your registration, and other users on the platform can see a limited set of your profile data as part of the normal functioning of the app.

Some of the service providers listed in Section 3 — including Google, Sentry, AppsFlyer, and Stripe — may process your data outside the European Economic Area (EEA), including in the United States. Where this happens, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs), as set out in each provider’s own data processing agreement, to ensure your data receives an equivalent level of protection.

We keep different categories of data for different lengths of time:

• Account data (profile, photos, messages) — retained while your account is active, and deleted within 90 days of a deletion request, including from backups.
• Payment records — all transactions on Findzzer are processed directly by Stripe, our payment processor. We do not store your full payment details; Stripe retains transaction records according to its own regulatory and operational retention requirements, as described in Stripe’s Privacy Policy.
• Analytics data — retained according to our providers’ own retention settings (for example, Google Analytics 4’s default is 14 months unless configured otherwise — [TODO: confirm your actual GA4 property setting]).

You can request deletion of your account and data at any time through your account settings, though we may need to retain certain information afterward for security or legal reasons.

We protect your data using encryption, access controls, and ongoing monitoring. That said, no system is completely infallible, so you’re also responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.

You have the right to:

• Access a copy of your data, or correct any inaccuracies.
• Request deletion of your account and data.
• Object to processing that relies on our legitimate interest.
• Receive the personal data you’ve provided to us in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format (data portability).
• Opt out of location tracking and marketing communications at any time.
• Lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority, or with the Agency for Personal Data Protection of North Macedonia (AZLP), the authority in Findzzer’s country of establishment, if you believe we haven’t handled your data in accordance with the law.

Findzzer is not intended for users under the age of 16. If we discover that we’ve collected data from a minor, we will delete it immediately.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continuing to use Findzzer after a change means you accept the updated policy, and we’ll notify you of any material changes by email or through an in-app notice.
